Ivanic is threatening: I will stall over decisions at the Presidency

The member of the Presidency BiH from RS Mladen Ivanic told Serbian newspaper 'Politika' that 'now that Serbs have been tricked regarding the census, no one has the right to criticize them over response that will follow'. Ivanic also warned that he will 'make things difficult' when it comes to decision-making at the presidency level.

In his interview for Politika, Ivanic also said that Serb ministers in the Council of Ministers will decide how they will react. According to Ivanic, unless something changes at the Parliament session, representatives of Republika Srpska should not give legitimacy to the work of BH Agency for Statistics, and then RS should publish their results.

Government in Banja Luka claims that it can do it and that is what we have agreed, Ivanic said to Politika. He added that he was satisfied with the recent meetings with the RS President Milorad Dodik and that both of them think that this kind of results of BH census will not be recognized by the RS.

Ivanic went on to explain that BiH cannot have the future if Sarajevo carries on with the story that only what they think is right, and to hold only one side accountable for the war and to keep looking for someone who will apologize.

- If Bosniak politicians continue to maintain the attitude 'we have the right to say whatever we want and what we consider right', there will be no space and life for everyone in BiH, particularly not for us from the RS, Ivanic said.

Asked if RS will live to see the independence, Ivanic said that, it will not happen in the next 20 or 30 years, and that internal relationships will determine that.

Ivanic expressed fear that relationships in BiH may turn into a lasting mutual exhaustion unless political protagonists return to the politics of compromise and respect for differences in interests.

- In that case, an ultimate outcome will be seen in the next 25 to 30 years. Of course, in a different climate, without conflict, as the international community would not allow that. The key to survival of BiH is in the hands of Bosniaks, he emphasized.
