BH Prosecutor's Office: The lack of prosecutors will slow down the work on war crimes

In April High Judicial and Prosecutorial Council appointed then prosecutors Lejla Konjic, Dzemila Begovic and Sead Djikic to the positions of judges of the BiH Court.

The transfer of 3 state prosecutors to the position of judges of the BiH Court, will inevitably slow down the work on cases of war crimes, claims the Prosecutor's Office BiH.

The Prosecutor's Office said to BIRN that the departure of 3 prosecutors will slow down the process because these prosecutors worked on a number of investigations and court cases.

- That's why we expect and trust that High Judicial and Prosecutorial Council of BiH will implement procedure for appointment of new prosecutors and fill these positions, as well as other positions that have been vacant for some time due to earlier departures of prosecutors, so that Prosecutor's Office could work more efficiently and achieve good results, said spokesperson for Prosecutor's Office Boris Grubesic.
