Meeting of Central Census Office postponed, no agreement on key issues!

Meeting of the Central Census Office scheduled for Wednesday, 30 March 2016, has been postponed until next week, Agency for Statistics of BiH confirmed for Patria.

- Although they put in some intensive work, statistics institutions failed to reach an agreement about disputed issues. In the coming days, activities related to tuning inside and among statistics institutions will continue, along with consultations with experts from the International Monitoring Mission. The goal is for newly reached solutions to be in conjunction with the international standards for census and with the Census Law, explained the Agency for Statistics.

Emir Kremic and Radmila Cickovic, directors of institutes for statistics of FBiH and RS, have been called by the Prosecutor's office of BiH to give statements. The Prosecutor's office is working on the case to see if there is any indication of criminal offense, particularly in relation to the amount of 50 million KM that were spent for the implementation of the Census 2013.

Velimir Jukic, Head of Agency for Statistics has been also called upon.
