Zuko Džumhur called one Bosnian river the most winding in the world, do you know which one it is?

(Patria) - Photographer Boris Trogrančić's wanderings through beautiful Bosnia and Herzegovina this time led him to Duvanjsko Polje and the incredible Šuica River, a karst river that springs south of Kupreško Polje, near Livno.

- The great travel writer Zuko Džumhur, on his journey from Travnik to the Adriatic, stopped in this area and described Šuica as the most winding river in the world - says Boris.

He adds that this river is extremely attractive for fishing, specifically fly fishing.

- Roads to Livno, Kupres, and Tomislavgrad meet here, and the Galečki Bridge, believed to have been built two thousand years ago, spans this most winding river in an arc - says Boris about Šuica, whose watercourse is about forty kilometers long.

Regarding how the river got its name, the photographer explains that the tail of a crayfish is called "šuja" in the local dialect. Since crayfish are inhabitants of Šuica, it is easy to conclude where the winding river got its name, writes Punkufer.hr.
