Women live longer than men in all EU countries

(Patria) - According to Eurostat data for 2023, women live longer than men on average in all European Union (EU) countries.

However, the difference in life expectancy varies significantly among countries.

The largest difference is in Latvia, where women live as much as 10.1 years longer than men. This is followed by Lithuania with 9.0 and Estonia with 8.8 years.

On the other hand, the smallest difference was recorded in the Netherlands, where women live only three years longer than men.

In Croatia, women live an average of 6.3 years longer than men, which is more than the EU average of 5.3 years.

A similar difference is recorded in Hungary (6.5 years) and Slovakia (6.6 years).
