Željo 'drowned' Sloga in twenty minutes at Grbavica

(Patria) - Sarajevo's Željezničar convincingly defeated Doboj's Sloga today at home with a score of 3:0 in the 33rd round match of the Premier League of BiH.

With tonight's triumph, the 'Blues' broke a long streak without a win at Grbavica, which had lasted since October last year.

The guests from Doboj opened the match better and seriously threatened through Tatar and Jović in the opening minutes.

Galchev prevented the biggest chance during that period with a timely tackle after a dangerous Sloga attack.

As the first half progressed, Željezničar slowly took control of the game.

Odinaka was particularly inspired, constantly causing problems for the visiting defense with his runs.

The home team came close to scoring several times through Krpić, Šabić, and Erick, but Pavlović kept his team in the game with good interventions.

On the other hand, Muftić stopped Letić's attempt, so the break was reached without goals.

The turning point occurred in the 55th minute when Krpić reacted brilliantly to a cross from the side and scored for 1:0.

After taking the lead, the 'Blues' continued to press, while Sloga found it increasingly difficult to move the game to the opponent's half.

The second goal came in the 69th minute. This time Krpić assisted, and Prokop doubled Željezničar's lead with a precise shot.

The question of the winner was definitively settled in the 77th minute when Jaganjac, after a cross from Odinaka, scored for the final 3:0.

Although the goal was briefly checked by VAR, the referees eventually allowed it.

Until the final whistle, the home team preserved their lead without major difficulties and secured a valuable three points.

With this triumph, Željezničar further solidified its position in the final stages of the championship, while Sloga, after another defeat, remained in a very difficult situation in the fight for survival.
