Zenica-Doboj Canton: Training for Doctors and Free Abdominal Ultrasound Screenings

(Patria) - Healthcare workers in the Zenica-Doboj Canton have achieved significant progress in diagnostics and prevention. Namely, ten doctors completed
training for abdominal ultrasound screenings, and 200 citizens took
advantage of the opportunity for free screenings.



The initiative, organized over the past month by the Medical Chamber of Zenica-Doboj Canton, Zenica Cantonal Hospital, the Institute for Health and Food Safety, the Faculty of Medicine at the University of Zenica, and the Ministry of Health of Zenica-Doboj Canton, with the support of the pharmaceutical company Farmavita, has brought a dual benefit.

This project has enabled the improvement of doctors' professional skills, while simultaneously enhancing access to healthcare services.

By training a larger number of doctors to perform ultrasound examinations independently, waiting lists are reduced and diagnostics are accelerated.
