Wagnerites called on 'patriots from Serbia, Montenegro, and Republika Srpska': 'We are going to liberate Jarinje'

(Patria) - In November of this year, Serb Damnjan Knežević stayed at the Wagner center in Russia. 

"It is an honor for me to be here," Knežević says in a video that was published on November 29th on the occasion of his visit to the Wagner center in Russia.

Damnjan Knežević is one of the leaders of the right-wing organization Narodna patrola from Serbia. Zoran Lekić and Aleksandar Lisov also appear in the video from the Wagner center. Lisov was presented at the beginning of December as the ideologue and head of the PMC Wagner center – ANO Russian-Serbian Cultural-Information Center of Friendship and Cooperation Orly in Belgrade.

Less than a month after visiting the Wagner center, Damnjan Knežević called on Serbs to go and liberate Jarinje.

"At this moment, let's see how many people are ready to go to Jarinje and try to liberate that crossing," said Knežević in an audio message published by Agim Musliu, director of the Institute for Hybrid Warfare Studies "HOBOTNICA" from Kosovo.

Musliu told Istraga.ba that the situation in northern Kosovo is very difficult, while Istraga.ba associate Gynen Venhari says that certain groups connected with the Russian Federation could organize the burning of "border crossings" in Kosovo.

Istraga.ba is in possession of a video showing several people with automatic weapons. According to our sources, the video was taken in northern Kosovo.

"Not far from the barricades where civilians are located, there are also checkpoints where armed individuals are present, ready to open fire at any moment," an Istraga source from northern Kosovo said.

We remind you that on December 9th of this year, in northern Kosovo, unknown persons wounded a member of the Kosovo Police by firing automatic weapons. Seven days ago, also unknown persons threw a stun grenade at an EULEX vehicle patrolling in northern Kosovo. Now, larger incidents are also expected. The takeover of the Jarinje crossing is announced for today (Sunday, December 18th).

"Serbian patriots from Serbia, Montenegro, and Republika Srpska are calling you to a gathering at Jarinje. Let's not allow our brothers and sisters to remain alone in the encirclement," reads the invitation published on the social networks of right-wing organizations from Serbia.

Damnjan Knežević, as we said, is one of the organizers. As we have already stated, he visited the Wagner center in Russia at the end of November, and after his visit, information was published that a Wagner center would also be opened in Belgrade.

"We are in a hurry to introduce you to the new resident of the PMC Wagner center – ANO Russian-Serbian Cultural-Information Center of Friendship and Cooperation Orly. The ideologue and head of the Center is Aleksander Lisov," it was announced at the time on the Telegram platform.

Lisov has been banned from entering Kosovo since 2017.
