Volkswagen preparing ID.2 R with 400 HP and all-wheel drive

(Patria) - Volkswagen is developing a high-performance electric model ID.2 R, equipped with powerful motors integrated directly into the wheels.

This pure electric all-wheel drive represents the top model in the ID.2 line. With a total of 400 horsepower, the ID.2 R will be positioned above the standard ID.2, offering superior driving dynamics.

The "wheel-motor" format allows for exceptional responsiveness and precise power distribution to the wheels, heralding an extremely agile and dynamic driving experience. Details about performance, such as 0–100 km/h acceleration, have not yet been released, but this exclusive model is expected to be the true electric era "hot hatch".
