(Patria) - The Government of Zenica-Doboj Canton (ZDK), at a session chaired by
Prime Minister Nezir Pivić, determined the Draft Budget of ZDK for
2025 and sent it for further parliamentary procedure.
Total planned revenues and receipts are planned in the amount of 699,305,650
KM, while total expenditures and outlays are planned in the amount of 692,234,254
KM, from which it follows that 7,071,396 KM is planned to cover the current
deficit from the previous period.
- This is a record budget - a very ambitious budget, and given that we had collective agreements that implied an increase in salaries for all employees, this also implied an increase in the budget itself.
I hope that this budget will receive the support of the deputies in the ZDK Assembly
because it is a very rational budget that implies the settlement of financial obligations which are a legal and constitutional obligation, but despite that, we also have certain items that imply a step forward compared to what did not exist before in the budget.
I am primarily thinking of sports, equipping certain ministries in
terms of their needs, so I believe this is a realistic and
necessary budget for our canton - said Prime Minister Pivić.
The Government also determined the Draft Amendments to the Budget for 2024, which is aligned with the guidelines of the Federal Ministry of Finance.
- The amount of the budget amendments is around 639 million KM and is about 15 million KM higher compared to the previous rebalancing. The planned coverage of the deficit from previous years is around 10 million KM - said the Minister of Finance Dženana Čišija.
The Financial Plan of the Employment Service of ZDK for 2025 was also determined, and the Government authorized the director of the Cantonal Civil Protection Administration (KUCZ) Džavid Aličić to conclude a contract for the purchase of a building for civil protection needs.
Hall number 3 with an area of 1,115.00 m2 in the Šljivik Industrial Zone, owned by Željezara d.o.o. Zenica, which has been used as a KUCZ warehouse until now, was purchased through public bidding at a price of 566,500.00 KM.
- We showed a thrifty approach there because the approximate value of the property was paid annually for rent. Our commitment is to move towards savings, and the best example is the purchase of this building - said Prime Minister Nezir Pivić.
