KS Government Finalizes KS Budget Proposal, Submitted to KS Assembly in the Last Week of March

(Patria) - The KS Government is expected to submit the KS Budget Proposal for 2025 to the Sarajevo Canton Assembly for adoption today or tomorrow, said KS Prime Minister Nihad Uk at today's KS Assembly session. The decision on temporary financing is in effect until March 31. The Draft was adopted at the end of November 2024, and almost three months have passed until the final Proposal.

He stated that it is foreseen for the KS Assembly to consider the Budget on March 25, 26, or 27, and that this is a matter for the KS Assembly.

The union coordination, which brings together eight unions, has not received a date for negotiations on the base salary with Prime Minister Uk for months, and protests and strikes have already been announced.

The coordination consists of seven unions (Independent Union of Primary Education and Upbringing of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina – Cantonal Board of SSOOiO Sarajevo Canton, Sarajevo Canton Police Union, Independent Union of Civil Servants and Employees of Sarajevo Canton, Independent Union of Civil Servants and Employees in State Administration Bodies, Judiciary and Public Institutions in the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina – Sarajevo Canton Coordination, Union of Secondary and Higher Education, Upbringing, Science and Culture of Bosnia and Herzegovina – Cantonal Board of Sarajevo Canton, Union of Healthcare Workers in Sarajevo Canton, and Independent Union of Workers in the Communal Economy of Sarajevo Canton.
