Council of Ministers of BiH adopts new Draft Budget of Institutions and International Obligations for 2025

(Patria) - The Council of Ministers of BiH today adopted a new Draft Budget of Institutions and International Obligations of BiH for this year, said the Minister of Finance and Treasury Srđan Amidžić.

Amidžić pointed out that the adopted draft includes a one-time assistance of 1,000 KM for employees in BiH institutions, with officials excluded from this provision.

He explained that the new Draft also addresses the issue of increasing the base salary for employees in BiH institutions from 600 KM to 631.50 KM, as well as increasing the income for workers with secondary vocational education, meal allowance, and holiday bonus.

"This is the maximum at this moment," Amidžić emphasized.

He said that a conclusion was also adopted to plan one-time assistance of not less than 200 KM for employees in BiH institutions in the 2026 budget.

"I am pleased when such an important document comes out of the Council of Ministers. I appeal not to burden such a document with political issues that lead to a situation where the budget is not adopted," Amidžić stated.

He expressed his belief that this document will receive support in the House of Representatives and the House of Peoples of the Parliamentary Assembly of BiH.

He said he was pleased that all ministers voted, except that Edin Forto said he regretted that there were no funds for BHRT.

Amidžić said that the new budget also does not include cultural institutions because there is no legal basis for it.
