VIDEO Tiro and Krnić Triumphant at the 459th Old Bridge Jumps

(Patria) - The 459th traditional Old Bridge jumps, one of the most recognizable sporting and cultural events in Bosnia and Herzegovina, were held today in Mostar.

Despite the announced precipitation and increased wind, the competition proceeded without problems, with the presence of more than 5,000 spectators who cheered on more than 40 jumpers from BiH, the region, and abroad.

Jumps were made in two disciplines, on feet and on head, and the audience had the opportunity to enjoy top-notch jumps and a serious dose of adrenaline.

In the discipline of jumps on feet, the victory went to Emel Tiro from Mostar, who delighted the jury and the audience with a perfect jump in the second series, for which he was awarded maximum scores.



In the category of jumps on head, Evald Krnić from the Montenegrin town of Tuzi triumphed.

Krnić is already known as one of the most dominant jumpers in the region, and with this result, he has further solidified his reputation. He recently attracted public attention with a jump from Vezirov most in Podgorica, a height of 23 meters.

The Old Bridge jumps, traditionally held since the Ottoman period, have once again confirmed that they are not just a sporting event, but also a symbol of Herzegovinian courage, cultural heritage, and a tourist attraction that draws thousands of visitors year after year.
