SARAJevo, (Patria) - Prime Minister of the Federation of BiH Fadil Novalić, in a video message to citizens, shared information about the financial stability, liquidity, and economic growth of the Federation of BiH.
He spoke about the increase in employment, pensions, social and veteran benefits, exports, as well as the most important infrastructure and energy goals.
- I am pleased to say that the Federation, thanks to our dedicated work and implemented reforms, is fully liquid, financially stable, and recording growth. Thanks to this, we regularly service all obligations to citizens.
The achieved growth has enabled us to have a record and stable budget, which means regular payments of all benefits, as well as investments in development.
We have created conditions to increase pensions twice a year. Additionally, in the last year, we managed to increase them five times.
The harmonization of veteran benefits will also follow soon, in accordance with the changes to the set of veteran laws and the so-called Swiss formula. We have guaranteed these rights by law, not by begging for them.
Our public revenues are growing. Exports, employment, pensions, social and veteran benefits are increasing.
Despite global crises, by working diligently on implementing reforms, we have opened more than 64,000 new jobs. This is eight times more than in the mandate of the previous Government.
Our exports have doubled. In 2015, they amounted to 5.7 billion, and last year to 12.1 billion marks.
We have not incurred debt to service current obligations and consumption. The Federation's debts are for capital investments, investments in road infrastructure, energy, economy... For development and the future.
Official data show that, per capita, the Federation's debt is almost half that of the debt in the other entity. Thanks to the Federation's results, BiH's credit rating is better.
We are continuing investments in capital projects. Our priorities are the construction of roads, the development of rail and air transport, as well as energy independence and agricultural development.
The Federation is a major construction site today. 60 kilometers of highway are currently under construction, with a total value of over 2 billion marks. Our focus is on building expressways to connect all parts of the Federation. Especially those areas not served by the highway.
We are intensively building solar power plants and wind farms, and producing more and more electricity from renewable energy sources.
Why is all this important to us?
Because the development of infrastructure and the construction of new energy capacities strengthen our economy, employment, and investments. It creates prerequisites and opportunities for the development and stay of young people in their homeland - Prime Minister Novalić concluded.
