(Patria) - The 458th traditional jumps from the Old Bridge were held today in Mostar, with 38 jumpers from BiH and the region participating.
Jumpers from the Old Bridge competed in two categories - 18 in headfirst jumps and 20 in feet-first jumps, writes Faktor.ba.
The first place in headfirst jumps was taken by Vedad Dedić, second was Evald Krnić, and third was Dino Bajrić.
In feet-first jumps, the best was Emel Tiro, second was Igor Kazić, and third was Jasmin Kreso.
Armin Karalić Bakota was declared the best jumper.
Traditionally, a five-member jury evaluated the feet-first jumps in two series and the headfirst jumps. One of the main goals in recent years is to include the jumps on the UNESCO list of protected intangible heritage.
Young Mostar resident Petra Kožul performed a show before the jumps - a silk dance from the bridge arch, putting on a real spectacle over the Neretva.
