Acting Assistant US Secretary of State at the Presidency: We remain a firm partner of BiH

(Patria) - Members of the Presidency of Bosnia and Herzegovina met with the Acting Assistant US Secretary of State for Europe and Eurasia, Brendan Hanrahan, with whom they discussed the current political and economic situation in the country, as well as strengthening bilateral cooperation between BiH and the US.

At the meeting, attended by the Chargé d'Affaires of the US Embassy in BiH, Daniel Koski, and the Deputy Acting Assistant US Secretary of State for Europe and Eurasia, Mark Fleming, the current political and economic situation in Bosnia and Herzegovina was discussed.

Members of the BiH Presidency expressed gratitude to the United States for the continuous assistance provided to Bosnia and Herzegovina, and expressed interest in continuing good cooperation between the two countries in the future.

An important topic of today's meeting was also the economic cooperation between BiH and the US. The interlocutors agreed that it is necessary to initiate activities aimed at sustainable and accelerated economic growth, especially in the areas of energy, transport infrastructure, and increasing the volume of American investments in BiH.

Acting Assistant US Secretary of State for Europe and Eurasia Hanrahan reiterated that the United States remains a firm and committed partner to Bosnia and Herzegovina, and that they continue to strengthen the relations between the two countries based on peace, stability, common economic goals, and prosperity.

He called on all parties to de-escalate the political situation and emphasized that domestic authorities should maintain a leadership role in preserving stability and enabling prosperity for the citizens of Bosnia and Herzegovina.
