Employer lists confirmed, 1,649 unemployed persons to be engaged

(Patria) - After previously adopting the Program of Measures for Encouraging Employment and Maintaining a Higher Employment Rate and Improving the Structure of Employees in Sarajevo Canton and public calls by the Employment Service of Sarajevo Canton issued in May this year, the Government of Sarajevo Canton at yesterday's session adopted the lists of employers. Under these programs, the engagement of 1,649 unemployed persons is planned, for which 17,748,879 KM has been allocated.

Under the Training, Additional Qualification and Retraining Program, funds of 524,978 KM are planned for at least 174 unemployed persons, and through the co-financing employment program "Job for All," employment of 385 unemployed persons from the target group is planned, for which 2,313,163 KM has been secured.

Under the 7+ co-financing employment program, employment of 50 unemployed persons is planned, and 600,000 KM will be spent for this purpose. The co-financing employment program for NK, PK and NSS staff envisages the employment of 200 unemployed persons, for which 1,920,000 KM has been secured.

Planned funds for the Program for co-financing 100 young unemployed persons up to 35 years of age amount to 1,840,000 KM, and for the Program for co-financing minor demobilized soldiers, war invalids and members of their families, which envisages the employment of 150 unemployed persons, amount to 3,600,000 KM.

The Program for co-financing the employment of university graduate trainees with employers in the public sector envisages the employment of 150 unemployed persons from that target group, and 1,800,000 KM is planned for this purpose. Also, 1,200,000 KM has been secured for co-financing the employment of 50 doctors of medicine, and 1,680,000 KM for 80 members of families of martyrs and fallen defenders through the "Voucher for Work."

This year, 1,200,000 KM has also been secured for 100 unemployed persons through the Program for co-financing the employment of university graduate trainees with employers with majority private ownership, while through the Program for co-financing the employment of hard-to-employ categories, 2,270,738 KM has been allocated for the engagement of 210 persons.

Minister of Labor, Social Policy, Displaced Persons and Refugees of Sarajevo Canton, Enda Pavić Pečenković, expressed satisfaction with the course of this project and the fact that many unemployed persons in Sarajevo Canton will soon have the opportunity to work and secure a livelihood for themselves and their families through these programs.
