
(Patria) - The Central Bank of Bosnia and Herzegovina (CBBH) successfully fulfilled its legal mandate and defined tasks in 2023, primarily maintaining monetary stability in the country despite extremely complex operating conditions in financial markets.
The results achieved, presented in the summarized financial reports for the period 01.01-30.09.2023, indicate that 2023 will be a historic year in terms of operating results since the establishment of the CBBH, i.e., in all 26 years of its operation.
The Governing Board of the CBBH adopted the aforementioned summarized financial reports at its regular session held on 30.10., which, in accordance with Article 64 of the Law on the CBBH, were submitted to the Presidency of Bosnia and Herzegovina.
Following the timely and extremely successful restructuring of our foreign exchange reserves portfolio in line with policy changes in the euro zone, the CBBH achieved the following results as of 30.9.2023:
a) Net profit for the period 173.0 million KM (25.9 million KM as of 31.12.2022)
b) Total capital 811 million KM (545 million KM as of 31.12.2022)
c) Currency board coverage ratio 104.73% (102.89% as of 31.12.2022)
d) Net foreign exchange reserves 15.91 billion KM (16.06 billion KM as of 31.12.22.)
