
(Patria) - The 7th night street race "Kakanj for 5" was held in Kakanj on Saturday, and the fastest was Uroš Gutić, who ran the 5-kilometer track in 14:41, a new track record.
Among women, the race was first finished by Emina Alagić in 17:04.
A total of 320 participants finished the race, with 22 competitors finishing in under 20 minutes.
The main attraction of the race was the best BiH athlete Amel Tuka, who participated in the race pushing the icon of Kakanj streets, Šefik Pandžić Ćevo, in a wheelchair, achieving an incredible time of 20:28, which was rewarded with thunderous applause from the audience.
The sponsors of the Kakanj for 5 race are the Municipality of Kakanj and JU KSC Kakanj. The Mayor Mirsad Bajtarević also ran the 5 kilometers with his fellow citizens, as well as numerous participants from other cities and countries.
