Saudi Arabia has the most boring road in the world, 256 kilometers long

(Patria) - The most boring road in the world is considered to be a 256-kilometer section without a single turn or even an incline or decline, passing through the Rub' al Khali desert in Saudi Arabia.

It is part of Saudi Highway 10, which connects Al Darb in the southwest and Al Batha in the east of the country, and is a total of 1,474 kilometers long, passing close to the border with the UAE, writes Punkufer.

The highway was built as a private road for King Fahd, who ruled from 1982 to 2005.

When it was opened to the public, it also entered the Guinness Book of Records as the longest straight section of a road in the world.

On one hand, this road offers an unobstructed and spectacular view of the vast desert, but if you are a driver, you will probably agree that it is - "boring as night".

It will take you about two hours to pass this straight "piece", which is quite a long time when you feel like you are standing in a picture.

And when you see a sign for a turn after 240 kilometers, you will probably feel like you have arrived at an oasis after a thirsty journey through the desert.

Perhaps at first glance, this section seems ideal for putting "the pedal to the metal", but accidents on it are quite frequent.

Part of the accidents, however, is caused, of course - by reduced driver attention.
