Bosnia and Herzegovina's merchandise deficit exceeded five billion KM in five months

(Patria) - Bosnia and Herzegovina's exports in the first five months amounted to 6.64 billion KM, which is 8.5 percent less than in the same period last year, while imports were 11.682 billion KM, which is 4.6 percent more.

The coverage of imports by exports in the first five months was 56.8 percent, while the foreign trade merchandise deficit amounted to 5.042 billion KM, according to data from the Agency for Statistics of Bosnia and Herzegovina.

Exports to CEFTA countries in the first five months amounted to 1.056 billion KM, which is 22.6 percent less than in the same period last year, while imports were 1.292 billion KM, which is 0.4 percent less than in the same period last year.

The coverage of imports by exports with CEFTA countries was 81.7 percent.

In the first five months, exports to EU countries were 4.943 billion KM, which is 7.4 percent less than in the same period last year, while imports amounted to about seven billion KM, which is seven percent more than in the first five months of last year.

The coverage of imports by exports with EU countries was 70.6 percent.
