Jim Marshall Exhibition at Renewed Maglaj Gallery "AB" on August 13

In the renewed gallery "AB" in Maglaj, owned by academic artist Admira Bradarić, an exhibition of photographs by Jim Marshall will open on August 13 at 6:00 PM, reports BH News Agency Patria (NAP).

Marshall was born and raised in Scotland, and has been living and working in Bosnia and Herzegovina since 1994.

In mid-April 2014, Jim formally agreed to exhibit his photographs at the "AB" Gallery in Maglaj in August, which was supposed to be his first exhibition outside of Sarajevo. However, what followed just a month later, no one could have predicted. The gallery was flooded due to the floods that hit Bosnia and Herzegovina in May 2014. The gallery has been renovated, and Marshall's exhibition will also mark the reopening of the "AB" studio and gallery.

All photographs in the exhibition titled "2014" were taken in Bosnia and Herzegovina during 2014 and will be exhibited for the first time. Among other things, Marshall captured some of the most important events of that year with his camera. Visitors will be able to see photographs taken during Jim's numerous visits to flooded areas and areas affected by landslides in May, June, and July 2014, where he voluntarily delivered humanitarian aid.

For Jim, as Bradarić conveyed his words to us, it is an honor and a privilege to participate in the reopening of the AB Studio and Gallery – Maglaj. The exhibition will be open until August 30.

Since 2011, Marshall has had six solo exhibitions in Sarajevo, and his photographs explore the concept of change, time and space, nature, humor, and creativity:

• "The Field" - Klub Podroom 2011.
• "15 Years" - BlackBOX Gallery 2011.
• "15 Years II" - SARTR Sarajevo War Theatre, Modul Memorije 2012.
• "There is a light that never goes out" - Boris Smoje Gallery 2013.
• "Shelter" - Historical Museum 2014.

The complete series of photographs "15 Years" is permanently exhibited at the Historical Museum of Sarajevo.
