In May, 722,685,729 KM of public revenues collected, number of employed in FBiH increased

(Patria) - The Tax Administration of the Federation of BiH informs the public that taxpayers of the Federation of BiH paid 3,729,506,053 KM in public revenues in the period January-May 2025, which is an increase of 420,010,650 KM, or 12.69% compared to the same period in 2024.

In May alone, 722,685,729 KM was paid.

The Canton of Sarajevo leads in payments with 1,375,688,358 KM, followed by the Tuzla Canton with 635,071,057 KM.

In the period January-May 2025, contributions for pension and disability insurance, health insurance, and unemployment insurance were collected in the total amount of 2,559,887,388 KM.

In the structure of contributions for the period January – May 2025, the following were collected:
- contributions for PIO/MIO in the amount of 1,427,554,268 KM,
- contributions for health insurance in the amount of 1,014,065,358 KM,
- contributions for unemployment insurance in the amount of 118,267,762 KM.

Regarding the month of May, 511,971,169 KM was paid.

The number of employed persons by place of residence of the employee as of May 31, 2025, is 546,129, which is 1,516 more than at the end of April this year.

According to the official records of the Tax Administration of the Federation of BiH as of May 31, 2025, 170,002 or 31.13% of employees are under 35 years of age, and 376,127 or 68.87% of employees are over 36 years of age. As of May 31, 2025, 302,964 or 55.47% of employees are men and 243,165 or 44.53% are women.

The municipality with the largest number of fiscal devices as of May 31, 2025, is the Municipality of Centar Sarajevo, with 7,045 fiscal devices installed in its area.

The municipality with the highest total turnover recorded through fiscal devices in May 2025 is the Municipality of Ilidža, where a total turnover of 490,363,826.30 KM was recorded in its area.
