(Patria) - The world's tallest residential skyscraper will be built in Brazil, in the city of Balneario Camborio, in the state of Santa Catarina. The project is named "Sennna Tower", and it will be built in honor of the legendary Brazilian driver Ayrton Senna.
The city of Balneario Camborio is located near Porto Alegre, in southern Brazil, and with the construction of "Sennna Tower" it is expected to enter history, as the newly built tower will be 509 meters high. Incidentally, this city, which is on the coast, is known worldwide for its tall buildings and architecture that has changed the global landscape.
The news was announced by members of the Formula 1 driver's family and the construction company "FG Imprengimentos". The construction of the tower is expected to begin at the end of 2025.
The agency states that Senna's tower was designed by his cousin and artist Lalali Senna.
The design pays tribute to the "heroic journey", with the tower representing a symbolic crossroads between the material and celestial worlds.
This metaphor is visible through the thin, glass form of the building and the facade with strip lights that will extend to the crown of the tower, jutting upwards and contributing to its iconic appearance.
The tower will have the most advanced technological system for reducing vibrations caused by strong winds. It will also have the highest standards of sustainable architecture and energy efficiency.
According to the project, the tower is expected to be between 500 and 509 meters high, thus surpassing the tallest residential skyscraper in New York, Central Park Tower, which is 472 meters high.
The ground floor and lower floors of the building are intended for entertainment and restaurants. The building will also have a space dedicated to Senna. The top floor will feature an observation deck.
