'Testament' breaks all records: Most-watched BiH film in the last 20 years, also screening in European cinemas

(Patria) - Distribution company UNA FILM proudly announces that the domestic feature film 'Testament – Amanet 2' has been seen by over 50,000 viewers in cinemas across Bosnia and Herzegovina and Europe in just 12 days since its premiere.

As we learn from cinema distributor Una-Film, it can already be said that this is the most-watched BiH film in the last 20 years, and that for the second week in a row it is first on the BiH Box Office list, far ahead of much more expensive Hollywood films. Namely, Testament brought over 40,000 viewers to cinemas across Bosnia and Herzegovina in just 12 days.

To this we add the fact that in some cities all cinema halls are sold out three days in advance. There is also great interest in areas that do not have equipped cinema halls, so the producers together with the distributor have enabled a traveling cinema with the desire for this film story to reach as many citizens of Bosnia and Herzegovina as possible.

As we learn from the film's distributor for European countries, cinema chains are surprised by the public's interest in this film, so in some cities, such as Munich, Berlin and Zurich, they opened as many as 15 halls, which were filled to the last seat. The result is almost 15,000 viewers in just three days in European cinemas.

The audience will also have the opportunity to watch Testament in all Bosnian-Herzegovinian cinemas in the coming period, and due to the large number of screenings, the producers have created a special website that is updated daily with new dates for the film's screening in Europe and the world: https://testament.hudhud.pro/

From Thursday, October 23, the distribution of Testament begins in Croatia, and soon in Slovenia.

Testament is a humorous and emotional story set in a Bosnian village and industrial Zenica at the beginning of the nineties, which in its own way shows the importance of a will and the consequences of its absence in local culture. Through the lives of ordinary people, the film brings a series of small conflicts and misunderstandings over property, tradition and interpersonal relationships, where old customs collide with a reality full of human weaknesses – gambling, gossip, love and petty theft.

Special weight is given to this project by the fact that the entire film was mostly financed by the producers and with the help of several responsible cantons and municipalities, co-producers, sponsors and friends of the film.

The producers of the film are Ajdin Hasanić, Nevres Softić and Mirza Begović, while the screenplay and direction are by Mirza Begović.
