World-famous cyclist Garner attacked near Foča: I managed to record the attackers!

(Patria) - American travel writer and influencer Liam Garner, followed by almost half a million people, claims he was robbed at the very end of his route through BiH.

Liam Garner, a renowned world cyclist and travel writer from the United States, shared an unpleasant experience that, according to him, happened in Foča. Garner wrote on social media that he was robbed while cycling through the last kilometers of his route in Bosnia and Herzegovina.

– A group of men stopped next to me and attacked me. However, I managed to get my belongings back and, luckily, I recorded their faces and vehicle license plates. I am currently trying to report the incident to the police – Garner stated in his post.

He added that he managed to file a report thanks to the help of a woman he met by chance.

Liam Garner is an adventurer and travel writer who travels the world by bicycle, documenting his experiences on Instagram, where he is followed by almost 500,000 people. He became known for traveling minimally – often sleeping in a tent and rarely paying for accommodation, relying on camping and the hospitality of the local population. His routes include crossing continents, and he focuses on the culture, people, and daily life of the places he passes through.

Before arriving in Foča, Garner announced that he was looking forward to visiting Bosnia and Herzegovina. He stayed in Sarajevo with a friend, where he enjoyed traditional dishes such as ćevapi, pita, and Bosnian coffee.

The incident in Foča, as he stated, overshadowed his last days in the country.
