SARAJEVO, (Patria) - High Representative Christian Schmidt said in the MAT BN television show that he has seen and met with the President of Serbia and that they had pragmatic discussions on topics related to Bosnia and Herzegovina.
Speaking about meetings with President Vučić, Schmidt says they never talk about individuals, but about business, infrastructure, roads...
"We simply put a geographical map on the table, so to speak, and look where a road is missing that would connect the two countries. We talk about the topic, which Vučić calls 'Open Balkan', and I call it the 'Berlin Process'," said Schmidt.
I know, he says, that Vučić has a problem in the north of Kosovo.
"I advise that these problems should not be transferred to Bosnia and Herzegovina and vice versa, and I would recommend to all politically responsible persons to maintain these contacts with the important neighbor Serbia. In the end, the volume of goods and trade cooperation has also increased..." said Schmidt, adding that these are the issues he discusses with the President of Serbia.
He said that in recent weeks he has also had contact with the Prime Minister of Serbia, Ana Brnabić, and that he will meet with her soon.
