Famous tenor Jose Carreras arrived in Sarajevo: He will hold a concert in Skenderija on Saturday

(Patria) - Ahead of Saturday's spectacle in Skenderija, the world-renowned tenor Jose Carreras landed in Sarajevo tonight by private jet.

He was welcomed at the airport by producer Tomislav Kašljević, Mayor Samir Avdić, Director of the Sarajevo Philharmonic Vedran Tuce, and the resigned Prime Minister of Sarajevo Canton Nikad Uk.

- This is my third time in Sarajevo. I was here in 1994, in 2006, and now here - said a cheerful Carreras at the airport.

On Saturday, March 7, Carreras will hold a major concert in the "Mirza Delibašić" hall in Skenderija as part of his farewell tour.



There is exceptional interest in this world-class spectacle, not only in the Bosnian capital but also beyond.

The artist is a great friend of the capital of Bosnia and Herzegovina and has expressed a desire to visit Sarajevo and see places that mean a lot to him, which is why he arrived two days before the concert.

The producer of the spectacle in Skenderija, Tomislav Kašljević, emphasizes that this is a truly grand project.

- Everything is being done according to the highest world standards, this is a huge project, and my wish is for the audience to experience a memorable musical evening - says Kašljević.
