Presidency Session on Monday: Draft Budget for BiH to be Considered

(Patria) - Chairperson of the Presidency of Bosnia and Herzegovina Željka Cvijanović announced that the Draft Budget has arrived at the Presidency and will be considered at a session on Monday, March 20.

Cvijanović expressed hope that the Draft Budget will be accepted and that the BiH Presidency will support the conclusion of the BiH Council of Ministers, which tasks the Ministry of Finance and Treasury to propose a new systemic solution for the Law on Salaries and Allowances in BiH institutions.

Cvijanović proposed, as part of one of the conclusions, that all appointed and elected officials donate the increase in their salaries, resulting from the increase in the base amount, to humanitarian purposes until a systemic solution is adopted by amending the Law on Salaries and Allowances in BiH institutions.

According to the procedure, if the Presidency adopts the Draft Law on the Budget of BiH Institutions and BiH's International Obligations for this year, the act is forwarded to the Parliamentary Assembly of BiH for adoption.
