SDA: SNSD, HDZ and Trojka are obstructing the introduction of scanners, they want to continue election fraud

(Patria) - SNSD, HDZ and Trojka parties are trying in every way to obstruct the introduction of new technologies in the upcoming 2026 elections, according to a press release from the Party of Democratic Action.

"The Central Election Commission (CEC) has issued a public call for the procurement of equipment, but without amendments to the Election Law and the adoption of Regulations that would enable the employment of IT experts, new technology cannot be implemented.

The Council of Ministers of BiH, composed of representatives of these parties, has for no reason refused to enable the expansion of the IT department's capacities by adopting the Regulations, which is a key prerequisite for the application of specific election technologies. Without it, the implementation of elections with new technologies is impossible", the statement said.

They add: "in addition, despite urgencies from the Central Election Commission (CEC), the Council of Ministers is avoiding proposing amendments to the Election Law, without which the entire process cannot be realized, nor are the ruling parties doing so individually".

"Amendments to the Election Law must also cover and clearly define a series of technical issues, such as the appearance of ballots, voter identification, the method of counting votes and controlling results, as well as other specific issues not regulated by the current law.

The only motive for these obstructions, which are currently coming from the ruling parties, is the obvious intention to continue manipulating the election process and the will of the voters.

If the Council of Ministers does not take steps to resolve these issues within the next 15 days, the SDA will submit amendments to the Election Law to the parliamentary procedure that will enable scanners and accompanying new technologies to be applied in the next elections", conclude the SDA.
