Sarajevo Destination Festival attracts exhibitors from 15 countries

(Patria) - With the successful holding of the first Sarajevo Destination Festival, Sarajevo continues to strengthen its status on the world tourism map. This festival, which attracted representatives from 15 countries of the region, Europe and the world in the period from April 25 to 27, exceeded the expectations of both organizers and participants.

Haris Fazlagić, director of the Sarajevo Canton Tourist Board, did not hide his satisfaction.

"It is extremely difficult to do something for the first time. However, we managed to create an event that attracted the attention of a significant number of different travel agencies, companies and platforms for connecting tourists and a new page in the tourism book of the City of Sarajevo and Bosnia and Herzegovina," Fazlagić points out.

The Sarajevo Destination Festival is proof that Sarajevo is ready to take a leading role on the tourism scene, presenting its unique offer to the world, while simultaneously accepting and promoting global trends and innovations in tourism. International guests emphasize that Sarajevo has proven to be an excellent host, and that the Festival has great potential.

Representative of the Ministry of Tourism of Cyprus Ivan Gorobets points out that this is a good start and that the organization of this event should continue in the future.

“The organization and format of the Festival are excellent, and I would like to thank colleagues from Sarajevo for the opportunity to promote the tourist destinations of Cyprus in this market,” added Gorobets.

Director of the Tunisian Tourist Board Nabil Bziouech confirmed the importance of such events, emphasizing that they gladly responded to the invitation to present their rich culture, gastronomy and beautiful beaches.

Ljiljana Čukić, manager at the National Tourism Organization of Montenegro, pointed out that the Festival was not only an opportunity to present tourist destinations, but also a platform for improving cooperation between countries.

"We are very satisfied with how the Festival was organized. The content was diverse, from cultural to business content, which makes it extremely important for the tourism sector," stated Čukić.

Plans for future editions of the Festival include expanding the program, a larger number of participants and a wider range of cultural, entertainment, educational and business activities.

“Our ambition is for the Sarajevo Destination Festival to become an unavoidable stop for all travel enthusiasts and tourism professionals, and I believe we have laid solid foundations for all future editions of this event,” concluded Fazlagić.
