Rubio: No talks on Ukraine currently, but we are still ready to mediate

(Patria) - Negotiations between Moscow, Washington, and Kyiv on resolving the conflict in Ukraine are not currently underway, but the United States is ready to mediate in this diplomatic process, stated US Secretary of State Marco Rubio, TASS reported.

- There are no such talks currently, but we hope that will change. They have not been fruitful, unfortunately... But, we are ready to continue playing that role.

If someone else wants to deal with it, let them. But, it seems that currently no one else in the world can do it.

We are also not interested in engaging in an endless cycle of meetings that lead nowhere - Rubio told reporters on the sidelines of the NATO foreign ministers' meeting in Sweden.

He added that there is no military solution in Ukraine.

- It will not end with a military victory of one side or the other, at least not from the traditional standpoint of defining military victories - Rubio said.
