(Patria) - The Reisul-ulema of the Islamic Community (IZ) in Bosnia and Herzegovina, Husein-ef. Kavazović, hosted a traditional iftar for Bosnian-Herzegovinian businesspeople in Sarajevo tonight.
On this occasion, the Reisul-ulema thanked the guests for attending and reminded them of the immeasurable role of businesspeople for Bosnia and Herzegovina and its citizens.
“The quality of life of our citizens largely depends on your success, and thus the hope that they will stay in their homeland. Ramadan is a blessed time, the barakah in it is great, we all feel it. I am happy to share this time with you,” said the Reisul-ulema.
He assessed that businesspeople are one of the most important pillars of our society and country.
“Despite the complex circumstances in our country, the success you achieve in your work shows your extraordinary ability and entrepreneurship. For all of us in Bosnia and Herzegovina, you are a bright spot in our daily lives. That is a great fortune for our people. Because every movement, every society, and every state has relied on the ability of businesspeople,” emphasized the Reisul-ulema.
He also urged businesspeople to pay attention to the rights of those with whom they achieve their successes – their employees.
“Be just, kind, and compassionate towards them. These are difficult times we live in, and you never know what burden a person carries in their heart and soul when they come to work. When you are just towards your employees, then you have every right to ask them to be diligent, disciplined, and responsible in their work. In this way, you will also contribute to raising the work ethic of our people, which is part of our overall ethics,” pointed out Reisul-ulema Kavazović.
He also invited them to help and advise the leaders.
“I have a feeling that some of them do not know where or whom they are following. We have often paid a high price for our divisions and for believing others who offer us a few kind words,” stressed the Reisul-ulema.
He thanked the businesspeople for their generous support and assistance to the Islamic Community, especially in their local communities, as well as for projects and initiatives at higher organizational levels.
“Thousands of our children are raised and educated in the institutions of the Islamic Community. With your help, we are constantly raising the standard in upbringing and education. Also, I would like to inform you that the Media Center of the Islamic Community is successfully paving its way to its readers, viewers, and listeners. This is a very important success for our mission. And the development of this project is of our common interest,” said Reisul-ulema Kavazović, among other things.
Muhedin Garanović, director of the Directorate for Economic and Financial Affairs of the Riyaset of the Islamic Community, pointed out the importance of this meeting and exchange of experiences.
“What is important for the Community is that this large turnout of people testifies that they are with their community and that they provide support,” he emphasized. Businessman Adnan Smailbegović expressed his satisfaction with attending the iftar, assessing it as very significant.
“Year after year, these gatherings are getting bigger. The significance of the iftar is reflected in several aspects. First, this is an opportunity for us businesspeople to meet, and it is an opportunity for the Reisul-ulema to send certain messages, as well as to exchange information. This is a good practice that should be continued,” he said.
He added that businesspeople always express support for the work of the Islamic Community.
“Businesspeople are part of society, we work in this society, we make our profits, and of course, all of that should be shared. The business community is always ready to help and support the projects of the Islamic Community,” emphasized Smailbegović. (end)
