Fuel prices rising in FBiH: Average diesel price 3.02 KM per liter

(Patria) - The average retail price of premium unleaded gasoline 95 is 0.02 KM per liter higher today compared to yesterday, while the average retail price of diesel has increased by 0.03 KM per liter compared to the previous day.

According to the Federal Ministry of Trade, the average retail price of premium unleaded gasoline 95 today is 2.47 KM per liter, and diesel is 3.02 KM.

Out of the total number of OPC and OPM forms (notifications of price and margin changes) submitted by gas stations to the Federal Ministry of Trade in the period from February 28 to March 16 this year, 4262 OPC and OPM forms relate to diesel, while 1699 relate to premium unleaded gasoline 95.

The Federal Ministry of Trade notes that the Decision on prescribing immediate price control measures by determining the maximum margin for oil derivatives is still in force in the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina, which prescribes a maximum margin of 0.06 KM/liter of derivative in absolute terms for legal entities engaged in wholesale trade, while for legal entities engaged in retail trade of oil derivatives, the maximum margin is prescribed in the absolute amount of 0.25 KM/liter of derivative.

Federal and cantonal market inspectors continuously monitor the application of the aforementioned Decision while it is in force, the Ministry stated, adding that all market inspectors from the Federation of BiH have access to the data received by the Federal Ministry of Trade.

As they pointed out, the focus of the inspection supervision is on controlling wholesale and retail price calculations, i.e., on controlling the formation of prices prescribed by immediate price control measures.
