SARAJevo, (Patria) - The Independent Union of Miners of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina, due to the current situation and in solidarity with the miners of the Zenica Brown Coal Mine, has scheduled a warning strike for next week in all remaining mines of the Elektroprivreda BiH concern - confirmed the president of the Zenica RMU Miners' Union and member of the Steering Board of SSRRFBiH, Elvedin Avdić.
The warning strike in these six mines will be held on Monday and Tuesday, June 5 and 6, between seven and eight o'clock, while the miners of Zenica RMU have been in worker disobedience since May 25, when they refused to go down into the pits in the second shift and have not resumed production since then.
-The situation is unchanged. We have no new information about when we might receive our salaries. The Steering Board of SSRRFBiH has made a decision to organize a warning strike in the remaining six mines of the concern, but if the situation does not change, there is a possibility that miners from other mines will also go on worker disobedience - announced Avdić.
The miners in Zenica have not been paid their April salary and meal allowance, and they are also owed loan installments, which have been suspended on their payslips but not paid to the banks' accounts.
