FBiH Tax Administration: Taxpayers Paid 7.9 Billion BAM in Public Revenues in 2024

(Patria) - The Tax Administration of the Federation of BiH informs the public that the collection of public revenues in the past year had a growth trend and that taxpayers of the Federation of BiH in the period January – December 2024 paid a record 7,949,633,244 BAM in public revenues, which is an increase of 603,872,728 BAM, or 8.22%, compared to January – December 2023.

In the structure of public revenues for the period January – December 2024:

-income tax and arrears of personal income tax were collected in the amount of 769,719,230 BAM,
-corporate income tax and arrears of corporate income tax were collected in the amount of 668,255,153 BAM,
-real estate and rights transfer tax was collected in the amount of 97,989,453 BAM,
-property, inheritance and gift tax was collected in the amount of 48,274,418 BAM,
-arrears of other taxes were collected in the amount of 430,197 BAM,
-fees and charges were collected in the amount of 759,872,120 BAM,
-fines were collected in the amount of 75,165,760 BAM,
-membership fees were collected in the amount of 17,205,900 BAM,
-other public revenues were collected in the amount of 4,231,789 BAM.

In the period January-December 2024, contributions for pension and disability insurance, health insurance and unemployment insurance were collected in the total amount of 5,508,039,044 BAM.

In the structure of contributions in the period January-December 2024, the following were collected:

-contributions for PIO/MIO in the amount of 3,066,931,166 BAM,
-contributions for health insurance in the amount of 2,188,583,880 BAM,
-contributions for unemployment insurance in the amount of 252,523,998 BAM.

The number of employees according to the place of residence of employees as of December 31, 2024 is 551,452. Compared to the published data on the number of employees as of December 31, 2023, when the number of employees was 544,345, this number is higher by 7,107.

As of December 31, 2024, in the Federation of BiH, 306,389 or 55.56% men and 245,063 or 44.44% women were employed.

Recording of turnover via fiscal devices

According to official data of the Tax Administration of the Federation of BiH as of December 31, 2024, a total of 105,663 fiscal devices were installed in the territory of the Federation of BiH, through which a total turnover of 68,011,111,999.22 BAM was recorded in 2024.

Compared to December 31, 2023, the number of fiscal devices is higher by 5,198, and the recorded turnover in 2024 is higher compared to 2023 by 3,388,124,446.26 BAM or by 5.24%.

The municipality with the largest number of fiscal devices as of December 31, 2024 is the Municipality of Centar Sarajevo, in whose territory 6,977 fiscal devices are installed.

The municipality with the highest total turnover recorded via fiscal devices in 2024 is the Municipality of Ilidža, in whose territory a total turnover of fiscal devices in the amount of 5,695,252,116.86 BAM was recorded, which represents over 8% of the total turnover of the entire Federation of BiH.

The Tax Administration of the Federation of BiH calls on all taxpayers to operate legally and to record each individually realized turnover via a fiscal device and issue a receipt to the customer. By issuing receipts, taxpayers will not be exposed to sanctions and measures such as temporary closure of facilities and payment of high fines.
