Premier Nezir Pivić opens 12th Fair of Agriculture, Organic Production and Ethno-Creativity 'OPEN's – Zenica 2024'

(Patria) - The three-day 12th Fair of Agriculture, Organic Production and Ethno-Folk Creativity "OPEN's – Zenica 2024" gathered more than 70 agricultural producers from the Zenica-Doboj Canton and from all over Bosnia and Herzegovina at Alija Izetbegović Square.

The fair is organized by the Association of Farmers of ZDK, with the general patronage of the ZDK Government, and in the presence of numerous guests, the fair was officially opened by Premier Nezir Pivić, who expressed satisfaction that the tradition of this agricultural gathering continues.



-This is also an opportunity for farmers to meet, exchange experiences and exhibit their products, and as a government we are committed to maximum support for agriculture. This is also reflected in this year's allocation of ZDK for agriculture, which is 500,000 KM higher compared to last year - said the ZDK Premier.

Minister of Agriculture, Forestry and Water Management Jasmin Čajić emphasized that they have opted for strategic production of berries, dairy farming and, to some extent, livestock farming, which they support more strongly, while other productions have not been neglected.

- This year, there were losses for certain agricultural producers engaged in crops that do not tolerate long dry periods. However, I must say that there were no extreme losses and that agricultural producers did not largely turn to us with damages to their crops, which is good to hear and good to know - said Čajić.

He announced that they will continue communication with farmers' associations in order to create an incentive program for the next year that will satisfy them and ensure production growth.

President of the Association of Farmers of ZDK Emir Tutnić thanked the ZDK Government and the relevant ministry for their continuous support of the fair, while the President of the Organizing Committee Refik Alihodžić said that the OPEN's fair has significantly contributed to the promotion of agricultural production and the number of registered agricultural businesses, in which this canton leads in the Federation of BiH.

As part of this fair, in addition to the offer of agricultural products and processed goods, ethno-folk creativity was presented.
