House of Representatives of PSBiH to discuss Budget of Institutions on September 1st

(Patria) - The session of the House of Representatives of the Parliamentary Assembly of Bosnia and Herzegovina, which will discuss the state budget, has been scheduled for Monday, September 1st.

The proposal for the Budget of BiH Institutions and International Obligations for 2025, determined by the Presidency of BiH at its session on August 19th, was supported by Denis Bećirović and Željko Komšić, while Željka Cvijanović was against it.

This is a proposal that includes allocated funds for BHRT (20 million KM), and for seven cultural institutions of state importance, which Republika Srpska does not want to accept.

Since January of this year, BiH institutions have been operating on temporary financing, and it is certain that this situation will continue for some time because the adoption of the budget is in question.

Even if the Budget were to be adopted in the House of Representatives of the PS BiH, it is questionable how the situation will unfold in the House of Peoples of the PS BiH. More sessions have been interrupted this year alone due to a lack of quorum, and SNSD and HDZ hold the quorum when it comes to the caucuses of Serbs and Croats.
