(Patria) - The House of Representatives of PSBiH is holding an emergency session today at 1 PM, where it will consider, under an urgent procedure, the Proposal of the Budget of BiH Institutions and International Obligations for 2025. The session is broadcast by BHRT.
The Presidency of BiH unanimously adopted the proposal of the BiH Ministry of Finance and Treasury on November 11, along with amendments by Željko Komšić and Denis Bećirović. The amendments increased funds for the Armed Forces of BiH, secured money for elections, and removed illegal transfers to entities from the CEC funds.
The new proposal follows the rejection of the previous budget at the end of October due to the absence of an entity majority from the RS. Funds previously planned for cultural institutions and assistance to BHRT were excluded.
The budget for 2025 amounts to 1.5 billion KM, which is 16 percent more than last year, and includes a one-time assistance of 1,000 KM for employees in state institutions.
If the House of Representatives adopts the budget, the House of Peoples should consider it on November 20.
