(Patria) - After questioning the suspect, the acting prosecutor of the BiH Prosecutor's Office submitted a proposal to the BiH Court for detention of the suspect Dragan Gajić (1987), a citizen of Montenegro. The suspect was deprived of liberty in the area of East Sarajevo, within the investigation of the BiH Prosecutor's Office in the case codenamed "Golub". He is suspected of being a member of an organized crime group, involved in the acquisition and sale of the narcotic drug "marijuana" in BiH, for further transport and sale of the narcotic drug in the European Union, and participating in the coordination of activities of other group members in Bosnia and Herzegovina.
Detention has been proposed for the reasons described in Article 132, Paragraph 1, points a), b), and c) of the Criminal Procedure Code of BiH, namely due to the risk of flight, as the suspect is a foreign national who would become unavailable to our country's judiciary by leaving BiH, the risk that he could obstruct the investigation, conceal evidence, and influence witnesses or accomplices if released, as well as the risk that he could repeat the criminal offense or complete the initiated one if released.
At the hearing to be held at the BiH Court, the acting prosecutor will explain in detail the proposal for detention.
