Pivić and Ministers at INZ Conference: Ensure a Safe, Stimulating and Healthy Environment for Children and Youth

(Patria) - ZDK Prime Minister Nezir Pivić addressed participants of the international scientific
conference "Achievements, Challenges and Perspectives in Improving the Health of School Children", which gathered in Zenica domestic and foreign
experts from the health and education sectors.

- It is very important to point out that this connects children, schools and health
institutions, all through the work of the academic community. This is an approach
that can provide a quality response, and only with such an approach can we reach
quality solutions.

The Government of the Zenica-Doboj Canton recognizes the importance of all preventive
programs and proposals coming from the Institute for Health and Food Safety.
This is one of the rare institutions that truly works with quality, integrating
science and education, thereby building an effective preventive mechanism.

In addition to the Institute's management, I also thank all employees who
contribute to the realization of these projects through their quality work – said
Prime Minister Pivić.

The host of the conference is the Institute for Health and Food Safety Zenica, and
the gathering was also attended by representatives of civil society, the non-governmental sector,

and relevant institutions, with the aim of finding common and sustainable
solutions in promoting health and preventing diseases among children and youth.

The conference is sponsored by the Ministry of Education, Science, Culture and
Sports of ZDK, the Ministry of Health of ZDK, the Health Insurance Fund
of ZDK, and the Federal Ministry of Education and Science. The conference is attended by experts from across BiH, Croatia, Serbia, Spain, Malta, France, as well as representatives of UNICEF and the World Health Organization (WHO).

Prime Minister Pivić stated that the Institute has full support from the Government of the Zenica-Doboj Canton in its future work, and that health is the focus of this government's work, which is also demonstrated by concrete development projects, such as the construction of the New Cantonal Hospital and the Oncology Department, the realization of which has been slowed down due to blockades by the City of Zenica.

Minister of Education, Science, Culture and Sports Mirza Mušija emphasized the
importance of creating healthy habits from an early age through a scientific and integrative approach.

Minister of Health Aida Salčinović said that the health of our children and
youth is the most important topic for society.

- It is precisely through the health of our children that we look at the future of society. Our
responsibility is to provide children with a safe, stimulating and healthy environment
for growth and development, and we can achieve this only if the health sector,
the education system, the family and the wider community act unitedly, strategically and
responsibly – said Minister Salčinović.
