Perić: I am going through a media lynching, the goal is my professional and moral discreditation

(Patria) - Judge of the Court of BiH Branko Perić issued a public statement after criminal proceedings were initiated against him.

"I inform the public that the prosecutorial-media mafia, after the disciplinary proceedings, has also initiated pre-investigative criminal proceedings against me for committing the criminal offenses of Disclosure of Secret Information, and the criminal offense of Violation of the Law by the same law, committed by publishing a dissenting opinion when publishing the verdict as the presiding judge in the criminal case Novalić and others", stated the judge of the Court of BiH Branko Perić on Thursday.

He said that in recent years he has been going through a media lynching devised by a group of prosecutors from the BiH Prosecutor's Office in cooperation with the media house Dnevni avaz, due to acquittals in the cases Osmica and others, Mutap and others, and Novalić and others.

"The goal of this plan is my professional and moral discreditation. It is regrettable that a group of prosecutors from the BiH Prosecutor's Office, who have combined their prosecutorial power with political centers of power in an attempt to use the Court of BiH as a tool in political showdowns, are actively involved in these dishonorable affairs. This type of prosecutorial abuse has permanently destroyed the integrity of prosecutors, the reputation of the BiH Prosecutor's Office, the reputation of the state judiciary, and public trust in the judiciary and the rule of law", stated judge Branko Perić.
