Decline in FBiH: 3,097 fewer employed in a month, particularly pronounced in the education sector

(Patria) - The Tax Administration of the Federation of BiH informs the public that taxpayers in the Federation of BiH paid 5,901,841,406 KM in public revenues in the period January-August 2025, which is an increase of 657,422,927 KM, or 12.54%, compared to the same period in 2024.

Public revenue payments in the period January-August 2025 compared to January-August 2024 by canton are shown in the following table:

The number of employees by place of residence as of August 31, 2025 is 541,921. Compared to the published data on the number of employees as of July 31, 2025, which was 545,018, the number of employees decreased by 3,097.

According to official records, the decrease in the number of employees was recorded predominantly in the education sector. On the other hand, activities that saw an increase in the number of employees include: coal and lignite mining, healthcare, land transport and pipeline transport, information service activities, security and investigation activities, etc.
