50th International Plum Fair Opened in Gradačac

(Patria) - Federal Minister of Agriculture, Water Management and Forestry Kemal Hrnjić attended the opening of the jubilee 50th International Agriculture and Food Industry Fair - Plum Fair in Gradačac, which will last until August 26.

The Federal Ministry of Agriculture, Water Management and Forestry announced that Minister Hrnjić, along with the Prime Minister of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina Nermin Nikšić, the Minister of Agriculture of Tuzla Canton Fedahija Ahmetović, and the Mayor of Gradačac, Edis Dervišagić, opened the 50th Plum Fair.

Minister Hrnjić said that he feels like a host in Gradačac, considering that he himself was an exhibitor at the Fair for several years.

"I am aware of the importance this fair offers to exhibitors, the importance of every medal and award that businessmen win at this fair. We must know that exhibiting at the fair in Gradačac is an honor and a reference. It is the endeavor of companies to improve their processes. And on that path, they deserve every kind of support. As the line ministry, we will strive to provide support with the aim of improving both this fair and supporting our agricultural producers.

The Government of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina and the Ministry actively support the development of agriculture through various incentive programs and expert support for farmers, as well as through support for the organization of fair activities. The International Agriculture and Food Industry Fair plays an important role in promoting agricultural products, raising awareness of their quality, and creating a favorable environment for trade and business opportunities. I am convinced that the leadership of this fair will continue to develop the Fair in the future and turn it into one of the unmissable events in Southeast Europe when it comes to the presentation of agricultural production.

I invite all participants of the Plum Fair to use this time for knowledge exchange, networking, and finding new business opportunities. Let this fair be a strong incentive for the further development of agriculture in the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina and Bosnia and Herzegovina, with the wish that new generations continue to nurture and develop the Plum Fair in Gradačac," said Minister Hrnjić during his address.

The Ministry adds that this year's jubilee fair offers a unique opportunity for agricultural producers, experts, associations, institutions, and business partners to gather to exchange experiences, learn about the latest trends and technologies, and establish business contacts. In addition to promoting plums, the Fair also has a broader impact on the entire agricultural industry in the Federation of BiH, as well as a positive impact on rural development, encouraging the local population to engage in agricultural production and providing them with a platform for promotion and sale of their products.

Through the Plum Fair and its sub-fair activities in Gradačac, agricultural producers have the opportunity to increase the visibility of their products and develop long-term business relationships, it was announced from the Federal Ministry of Agriculture, Water Management and Forestry.
