An exhibition of paintings by members of the Citizens' Art Association Neretva Art from Jablanica will be opened at Club Aluminij on Thursday, August 7, starting at 7 p.m., reports the Bosnian news agency Patria. Residents of Mostar will have the opportunity to see 29 works by twelve visual artists from Jablanica. The paintings are done in acrylic on cardboard and oil on canvas.
The Neretva Art association grew out of the enthusiasm of art lovers from Jablanica, both those with formal art education and self-taught artists from the region. They have officially existed since December 2012, but have been creating together for five years. They currently have forty permanent members.
The exhibition remains open for seven days, admission is free, and the paintings can be viewed on weekdays from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m., and on Saturdays from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m., reports NAP.
