New Flights from Tuzla: Greek Airline Starts Operations on December 18!

(Patria) - The management of Tuzla International Airport and representatives of the Greek airline Lumivings have signed a cooperation agreement. The agreement includes new air routes and the establishment of a base.

Starting December 18, passengers will be able to travel to a total of five destinations: Sweden, Denmark, the Netherlands, and Germany, and for the first time, passengers will also be able to travel to Turkey, specifically Istanbul.

From Tuzla International Airport, they say that with this signing, passengers will once again be able to travel to the most distant destinations, and if there is greater passenger interest, new destinations will be introduced starting in January.

"Our citizens who have had a ten-year habit of traveling to Sweden, Denmark, the Netherlands, and Germany will still be able to continue. Given the very short time until the start of operations, specifically December 18, we have currently chosen 5+1 destinations to start with, and if there is a good response from passengers, which is very important, we will announce additional destinations as early as January," said Dževad Halilčević, Director of Tuzla International Airport.

"In cooperation with our new partner, Tuzla Airport, we hereby announce that the airline Lumivings will begin operations on December 18, 2023," stated Dimitrij Kremiotis, manager of the airline "Lumiwings".

"We have done this work for the passengers themselves, for our diaspora, and then, of course, for the undeniably positive impact on trade and tourism in Tuzla Canton," said Irfan Halilagić, Prime Minister of Tuzla Canton.

While flights start on December 18, passengers can already purchase tickets at promotional prices starting from 75 euros, for destinations including Stockholm, Sweden; Halmstad, Sweden; Maastricht, the Netherlands; Saarbrücken, Germany; Esbjerg, Denmark; and Istanbul, Turkey, which is currently in preparation.

Prime Minister of Tuzla Canton Irfan Halilagić stated that work will continue on the development of Tuzla International Airport to attract other airlines and expand the scope of operations at this Tuzla airport.

The Government of Tuzla Canton recently approved around five million KM in subsidies for airlines that will fly from Tuzla, and a public call was issued, to which the Greek company Lumivings responded.
