(Patria) - Young singer-songwriter from Sarajevo Noor Esmeray brings a refreshing voice to the music scene with her debut single "Mediterranean Mermaids".

The talented twenty-year-old student at International University of Sarajevo (IUS) is proof that quality music is born from passion and perseverance.

During the pandemic, when the world stood still, Noor found her voice – she taught herself to play the guitar and wrote hundreds of lyrics in English.

Her music reflects sincere emotions and the search for meaning, and now, with the support of her family, she is sharing her passion for music with the public for the first time.

For her 20th birthday, she got the opportunity to record "Mediterranean Mermaids", a song that combines gentle melancholy and deep symbolism.

Based on her lyrics and music, this song was recorded in the studio of renowned producer Dino Mangafić, while Mangafić and pianist Samir Fejzić were responsible for the arrangement and music production.

"Mediterranean Mermaids" is not just a love ballad – it carries a multi-layered message, speaking of all those who feel they don't belong in the world they live in, of those seeking their place and an escape from imposed frameworks.

Sometimes it is necessary to dive deep into one's own essence, into "some deep seas", in order to find truth and preserve hope for a better world.

Under the artistic name Noor Esmeray, Emira Nur Muftić is already recognized as an exceptionally talented author.
