Largest Ice Rink in Sarajevo Opens at Wilson's Promenade

(Patria) - Tonight, "Children's Magic" - a large and beautiful ice rink with accompanying facilities, part of "Winter on Vils by Sarajevo Holiday Market", opened at Wilson's Promenade in Sarajevo.

At this location, skating will be free for all citizens and visitors of Sarajevo from December 9 to February 10.

Director of "Winter on Vils" Selma Bajić and Mayor of Novo Sarajevo Municipality Benjamina Karić opened this wonderful story, which has been successfully realized for the fourth consecutive year, while the little ones were entertained by the popular Lilo with his songs "Liloland".

Alongside him, four beautiful girls from the Ice group Sarajevo Skating Club - Ada, Atina, Naja, and Đula - took to the ice, showing all visitors with their stunning performance why this club won as many as 24 medals last season.



We remind you, the NLB ice rink covers an area of over 700 square meters and is open every day from 10:00 AM to 10:00 PM. Sessions last 60 minutes, with a 30-minute break used for preparing and maintaining the ice surface.

The rink area is enhanced with light decorations, making the ice rink a true magic for children and adults alike, along with the fairy-tale decorated Wilson's Promenade.

One of the novelties of this year's real ice rink is that on weekends, there will be DJ parties next to the rink, located between the fascinating Panoramic Wheel and Wilson's Promenade.

The organizers highlighted that last year, "Children's Magic" was visited daily by 300 people, and on weekends up to 500 people per day, and that more than 300 children completed the free skating school.

They expect attendance to be higher this year given the enormous interest and popularity of the "Winter on Vils by Sarajevo Holiday Market" event.



During December and January, regular skating sessions will also be organized at this rink for students from 12 elementary schools in the Novo Sarajevo area.

Until February 10, with the support of Novo Sarajevo Municipality, the free NLB skating school for children will operate at the rink on Wilson's Promenade, where those who do not know how to skate can take their first steps on the ice.

The skating school will be led by the Medvjedi hockey club. All interested children will be able to apply via a form that will be published tomorrow on the Facebook and Instagram page of "Winter on Vils".
