Budget of FBiH and Law on Transaction Fiscalization to be Considered at January Session

(Patria) - In response to the cancellation of the 27th regular session of the House of Representatives of the Parliament of the Federation of BiH, the Speaker of the House, Dragan Mioković, stated that he made the decision consciously and responsibly, considering the importance of the budgetary framework for the adoption of all other laws.

"Given the large number of media inquiries, I consider it necessary to clarify the reasons for the cancellation of the session. Although two parliamentary clubs approached me with a request to allow insight into the Draft Law on Fiscalization of Transactions in the Federation of BiH before voting on it, the final decision was mine," Mioković stated.

He added that he assessed that insisting on the urgency of adopting the law on fiscalization cannot take precedence over the need for representatives to first gain a comprehensive insight into the budget that will determine the framework for its implementation.

"I believe it is necessary to leave enough time for the consideration of budgetary documents, because without a clearly defined budget, there is no realistic implementation of any law in the coming year. Therefore, I decided that the Draft Budget of the Federation of BiH, the Law on Budget Execution, and the Draft Law on Fiscalization will be considered together at a session to be held in January," Mioković concluded.
