On this day, the foundation stone of the Sprind company was laid

SARAJEVO, (Patria) - While they reached the famous saying "there is no good pie without Sprind jufka", this BiH company has gone through great challenges in the past 40 years. The foundation stone at the current location was laid back in 1980, precisely on this day, April 6, under the name UPI RO "KLAS" – Bakery Center and ready-made meals factory Rajlovac, and the factory itself was opened two years before the XIV Winter Olympic Games in Sarajevo.

To the generations of that time, Sprind was known as Ilidžanska rosa and it was one of the most respected companies of that time.

With the arrival of new Management and thanks to a major reorganization within the company, Sprind is embarking on significant investments and modernization of its business, and with its entry into the AS Group in 2014, this company is achieving the best business results since its inception.

"Sprind has gone through many challenges and obstacles which, with the help of dedicated employees, it has always successfully overcome. Even during the war years, when material damage of 16 million KM was incurred, Sprind managed to renew its production in 1996 and start all over again. Today, we have the most modern equipment for the production of bread, pastries, jufka, somun, cakes, and we are considered one of the companies that consumers have a lot of trust in, and that is most important to us," states Samir Glušac, director of the Sprind company, adding that the latest investment in modern equipment automates the bread cutting and packaging process, and increases the capacity several times over to 30,000+ pieces/day.
